The Trustees of The Tavistock Trust for Aphasia warmly congratulate Gill Pearl, a previous recipient of the Robin Tavistock Award (shared with Speakeasy), on being honoured with this year’s Pippa Tyrrell Award for her outstanding contribution to stroke care.
The award, presented by Professor Craig Smith, acknowledged Gill’s exceptional work in Greater Manchester. “For many years, she has worked tirelessly to improve services for people with aphasia and to ensure that user involvement remains central to the conversation,” he noted. This is the first time the Award has been given to someone outside the NHS.
